Hey there! If you haven’t already guessed by now, my name is Nick Porcaro. I’m a graphic designer, musician, writer and pop culture buff living it up in Jersey City, NJ.
I grew up in the suburbs of Manalapan with an amazing family, a few great friends and a complete lack of athleticism to my name. I was more or less an arts kid from the start, tooling around with X-Men Cartoon Maker and Nickelodeon Director’s Lab for Windows 95. The design bug crept up on me slowly but surely in middle school around the same time I first learned to play guitar. Before long I was spending every summer at National Guitar Workshop (R.I.P.) and studying Advanced Graphic Design at Communications High School under the great Judy Sobko. She encouraged me to apply at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA, where I graduated summa cum laude and worked as a Resident Assistant for two years. (Spruuuuce!)
I currently reside at the apartment known as Bandit’s Cove, named by my roommate, the talented UX and game designer Willy Abeel.
